Jean-Marc Darmani (AKA MATCHSTICK) born in Nice, France,
moved at age 11 with his parents to the USA, Trenton, N.J.
A few years later not only did he master the English language but he started to DJ in various clubs & rap in English.
His passion & love became rapping free-style particularly with other local rappers.

Matchstick had a distinct advantage since he could also interject his French language & accent when he wanted to add a bit of spice.
Starting at 15, he rapped in such well know clubs as Liquid’s in
NYC, Club XL & Paradise in New Jersey, the Monte Carlo Living Room
in Philadelphia as well as

La Scene, Club Purple, Blue Boy & Midnight on the French Riviera; just to name a few.

Matchstick spent 4 months in Nice, France in 2005 doing more live rap to further enhance his technique & professionalism.
When he returned to the US he wrote his own lyrics & music & recorded his first CD “The Connect Part One”.
Encouraged by his 1st success he again produced & recorded “The
Connect Part Two” and more recently “The Connect Part Three” which has
more power & more energy than the first 2 CD’s produced.
It includes a song entitled “Too Fly” with an amateur video clip on that particular song.

During 2007, he returned to France to record his new street album
“Shock Therapy” with other French professional rappers including La
Fouine, Busta Flex, K-Reen, Billy Bats &
Nathy along with the
collaboration of DJ Battle & DJ Poska (Disque D”or in
France)(Golden CD). Shock Therapy was recorded & mixed by Jeff
Dominguez & Reptile at Studio Plus 30.

Matchstick is now preparing for September 07 his first professional video clip with La Fouine the French Rap Star who is currently signed by Sony
Music France.
This clip will be aired on different national TV stations in France.
MORE projects are being worked on which will be finalized prior to year end.
